This conversation took place this morning when I was driving the kids to school.
Me: Hey guys. Did I tell you I ordered your backpacks yesterday?
Alina: What colors are they?
Me: Yours is orange, Sam's is blue.
Alina: Ugh! Can Sam have orange? I like blue.
Sam: Dad, will we be able to go camping? This spring? Just me and you? For you and me time?
Alina: It's okay Sam. Me and mommy need some time away from you. We've been with you for a thousand years.
