The Tenderness of Sam
Behind this rough and tumble exterior resides a very tender heart. Yesterday on our way home from school Sam said, "Dad. Today I asked Mrs. Teeter to pray for a job for you. At first I was embarrassed because I thought my friends would laugh at me. I waited for five minutes, then I decided I didn't care." He is so sweet.

The prayers of our kids are incredibly precious. When L was 3, our church handed out rocks and told us to write the name of someone we would pray for every day. L asked her teacher to write, "Daddy," and she put the rock in her dad's car, because she wanted to pray for his safety as he drove the 2.5 hour drive back and forth to work.
We still have the rock. And we're going to add one for you.
